This may be talk about a movie, but it fits right in with the topic of this blog. Why? It includes some of the most amazing technology. How did director James Cameron take movies to the next level? Here’s to find out:
This movie contains real people (live action) but with animation also. The ‘blue’ people in the movie look animated; which they are; but it is still the live actors acting like usual. Taking animation to the next step is what James Cameron did. Instead of fully making an animated character; or a fully animated movie like the popular PIXAR films, he mixed live actors with animations of flying, jumping, and even riding animals. The scenery is animated also; everything is combined with green screen, live action, and plenty of effects.
The movie cost $300m and in the box office have already made what they paid for.
The thing about this movie is it’s so unrealistic – but realistic – at the same time. While watching the movie, justĀ try to think that these are real people acting, no real animation. It’s really confusing actually. On IMDB.com, a site I love, the movie gets 8.9/10. Most movies only get a 6.0/10. How long do you think this movie will stay #1?
